Call Center Entry Level Underwriter at American Credit Acceptance in Meridian, Idaho, United States Job Description Start Date: Monday, January 27th, 2025 About the Team Made up of Sales, Funding, and Underwriting teams, Originations is at the forefront of ACA's business success. What You'll Do At American Credit Acceptance, the primary responsibility ofUnderwritersis to evaluate customer credit profiles aligning with loan structure characteristics. They collaborate with dealer partners to educate and formulate loan decisions. Key duties include gathering and scrutinizing all relevant underwriting information to assess risk levels and determine appropriate premiums for acceptable risks. The role involves accepting risks that meet underwriting standards and declining those that do not. Underwriters demonstrate proficiency in comprehending and analyzing contracts, titles, and income tax data. Additionally, they evaluate automobile book values and review applicant credit bureau information. This role may encompass various other tasks as assigned, reflecting the dynamic nature of responsibilities within the underwriting function. Work Environment This role operates in a professional office environment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time onsite position. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with some Saturdays on rotation. Travel No travel is expected for this position.
