Job Description

We are looking for a highly-organized, detail-oriented multi-tasker to join our team of Eligibility Service Specialists. The Eligibility Services team plays a critical role in making sure that families in our state can afford child care. Specific responsibilities include reviewing documentation submitted by clients seeking to take advantage of Connecticut's Care4Kids child care subsidy, processing it to determine eligibility, and issuing certificates to those eligible. This position manages a caseload of applicants, methodically working through each case to make sure that clients are able to access services quickly and efficiently.

What You Will Do:

• Review documentation submitted by clients seeking to access Connecticut's Care4Kids child care subsidy.
• Process documentation to determine if the family is eligible for the subsidy and issue certificates to eligible clients.
• Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring that families can navigate the application process to access child care benefits.
• Screen, verify, and assign clients to the designated recipient category based on state and federal guidelines.
• Approve eligible activities and benefit coverage segments.
• Calculate benefit award amounts.
• Consistently meet defined quality and productivity standards.

Other Functions:

• Assist with walk-in activity as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

When and Where You Will Work: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week) with a half-hour lunch break. Training will be conducted on-site in our beautiful new offices at 55 Capital Blvd. in Rocky Hill. Approximately 60 days after training, you may be eligible for hybrid scheduling, allowing you to work from home and in the office.
