Job title: Java Lead Developer (Hybrid)

Job Location: New York

Duration: Fulltime with Cognizant

Job Responsibilities:

• 10+ years Java development experience
• Hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS
• Effectively manage client engagement from Onshore.
• Good working knowledge on SAML2.0, OAuth and API protection.
• Knowledge on Authentication and Authentication Integration experience.
• Should have a come across handling Performance tuning/Load testing findings.
• Ability to work on Vulnerability/Penetration testing fixes.
• Hands-on experience on end-to-end migration activities over Legacy apps.
• More exposure on Logical and analytical knowledge on applications.
• Process oriented knowledge on NFR’s and Feature based work.
• Should have a real passion for learning and understanding the application and share knowledge with team.
• Strong technical skills in Java 8 development(Spring, Spring Boot).
• Proactive in looking into the tasks and ask questions to learn more and build individual ownership and responsibility on tasks.
• Expert in debugging issues by looking at Monitoring tool and application logs to come up with defined RCA.
• Jenkins CI/CD nice to have.
• Good communication and presentation skills

Skillset : Java, Spring Boot, AWS, RESTful API, Jenkins, JIRA, Maven, Tomcat, RDBMS Database, Agile, Web server, log4J, Unix/Linux, JSON, GIT, and Microservice

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until April 25th, 2025

The annual salary for this position is between $82,000 – $93,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
