Job Title: Maintenance Technician Assistant

Location: Rochester, NY

Summary :
Join our dynamic team as a  Maintenance Technician Assistant , where you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving production and ancillary equipment. This role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring operational efficiency, and contributing to a safe and well-maintained facility. You'll utilize your knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions. If you're a hands-on professional with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for maintaining high-performance equipment, we want you on our team!

Shift:

• 5am - 1:30pm Monday - Friday

Pay:

• $18.00 - $22.00 an hour

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and ancillary equipment.
• Conduct general upkeep tasks, including housekeeping, landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues.
• Operate and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through proper housekeeping.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding maintenance issues.
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports as required.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Manual dexterity and strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience operating and maintaining a forklift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
