LHH is looking for a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our client-growing company in Issaquah, WA. This position will be a 5-week contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll activities accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, compliance with federal and state regulations, and experience handling employee compensation. This role is vital to ensuring employee satisfaction and compliance with payroll laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Verify employee time records, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay or benefits.
Calculate and process overtime, bonuses, and commissions as applicable.
Ensure accurate tax withholding and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, such as 941, 940, W-2, and state unemployment forms.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax forms.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address discrepancies and ensure accurate data entry.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all payroll records.
Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant regulations.
Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Compensation: $30-$35/hour DOE
