Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate preparation and distribution of medications, maintaining inventory, and supporting both pharmacists and patients. Your contributions will directly impact patient health and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prescription Preparation: Retrieve medications from stock, accurately count and package orders, and prepare them for pharmacist verification.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish workstations with necessary supplies, remove outdated products, and assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels of pre-packaged auxiliary items.
  • Order Processing: Handle the packing and shipping of completed prescription orders to patients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Customer Interaction: Occasionally contact patients to provide updates on orders, address inquiries, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • System Navigation: Efficiently operate multiple computer systems to manage prescription information, inventory data, and patient records.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday.
  • Shift: 8-hour shifts within the standard operating hours of 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends as business needs arise.
  • Pace: Fast-paced, high-volume environment requiring attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician License required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting preferred but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in navigating computer systems.
