CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Physical Security Project Manager to join our Commercial & Institutional - Mechanical & Electrical Team at our office in Albany, NY; Syracuse, NY; Rochester, NY; or Parsippany, NJ .

Our technical professionals have valuable hands-on experience as plant managers and engineers in industrial settings so we can create solutions for complex facilities including complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering, and design/construction services.

At CHA, the Physical Security Project Manager works diligently to complete technical, physical security focused design projects within the scope, budget, and schedule. This key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial, or logistical issues that may arise. Our Physical Security Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure. The professional in this role sells and develops work with specific clients, ultimately leading to a "seller/doer" dual role, by understanding our client's challenges, building partnerships with them, and providing creative solutions to those challenges.

The Physical Security Project Manager coordinates contracts with the client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents. This individual is responsible for all project financials, manages subcontractor payments, and communicates updates to the client, management, and project team during monthly project review meetings with operations.

Additionally, the Physical Security Project Manager develops a specific health and safety plan in coordination with health and safety manager and is responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management or a related degree is required
  • PE, CPP, PSP, or equivalent professional license preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years of industry experience required; a minimum of 4 years of project management experience required
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required
  • Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management required
  • Previous OGS experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships
  • Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements
  • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed required
  • MEP/Architectural consulting experience highly preferred
  • Experience working with State and/or Federal markets a plus
  • Experience working with New York OGS a plus
  • Ability to obtain elevated security clearance as it relates to client requirements
  • Familarity with security indusy trends, manufacturer offerings, and hands-on experience specifying and working with systems from manufacturers such as Pro-Watch, Genetec, Software House, Axis, Exacq, Milestone, and others

SALARY RANGE:

$105,000 - $129,500

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
