PrepScholar ( is the leading online test prep program for the SAT/ACT. We stand out through educational customization — all students receive tailored study plans that address their unique strengths and weaknesses, leading to significantly better results and high customer satisfaction.

Our prep program features thousands of practice questions across various skills in an automated online platform. We seek part-time SAT/ACT test prep experts to write high-quality test questions, explanations, and lessons focused on specific sections of the tests.

As part of PrepScholar, you'll educate students at a national scale, crafting realistic questions and effective explanations that help students apply the most effective strategies. Join an exciting online education startup with a mission to improve education at scale through technology.

Responsibilities :

• Focus on one or more test sections (math, reading, writing, science) depending on your expertise.
• Craft high-quality SAT/ACT questions and answer explanations. The best way for students to learn these tests is to practice. You can write questions that rival the quality of real tests. Your explanations guide a student clearly through the right thinking process to answer the question and to avoid pitfalls.
• Write engaging lessons that teach students fundamental content.
• Contribute to the pedagogical design of our education technology.

Required Qualifications :

• BA/BS from a selective institution.
• 99th percentile score on the SAT or ACT.
• Knowledge of test prep methods and previous experience tutoring.
• Excellent teaching skills with the ability to break down complex concepts into clear, logical steps. You know what students struggle with, in both learning and behavior, and you've had practice in reaching out to them.
• Strong commitment and work ethic, with a track record of delivering quality work.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with basic HTML and Mathematical Markup Languages.
• Curriculum writing experience.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace applications, Learning Management Systems, and collaboration tools like Slack.
• Experience in video creation and editing.

About the Position :

• Competitive compensation starting at $30/hour, with rewards for skill and experience.
• Part-time role with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, limited to 20 hours per week.
• 1099 contract position.
• Fully remote work, requiring a stable internet connection.
• Independence to direct your own work.
