Job Description: As a School Psychologist you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall well-being and academic success of our students. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) for students with special needs.
- Providing counseling and support services to students facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Assisting in crisis intervention and offering guidance during difficult situations.
- Participating in multidisciplinary teams to address student needs and contribute to the development of intervention strategies.
- Promoting a positive school climate and fostering a sense of belonging for all students.
Requirements: To be considered for this position, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist in Arizona
- Excellent understanding of psychological assessment tools and methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following attributes are highly valued:
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with the laws and regulations related to special education in Illinois.
- Knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies to address behavioral and emotional issues.
