BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for **dynamic, results driven** individual to join as a **Semiconductor Product Engineer** at our Indiana Technical Center (ITC) in Kokomo, Indiana.
In this role, and under direct supervision of the **Semiconductor Product & Test Engineering Manager**, the **Semiconductor Product Engineer** will work with other members of a Semiconductor team to develop and qualify new Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC), and then provide ongoing support for ASICs after production launch.
**Job Duties:**
* ASIC evaluation bench hardware design and software generation
* Validation test board design and test vector debug
* Reliability testing and ASIC qualification
* Statistical performance characterization
* Identification of ASIC performance issues
* Circuit and software troubleshooting and resolution
* ASIC release to manufacturing
* Production Part Approval Process compliance
* Post production release support to accomplish cost reduction and performance enhancements
**Requirements:**
* BS in Engineering, required; degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering preferred
* 3-5 years experience is preferred, but open to consider those with less years experience depending on educational and work history background relative to this role
* Effective teamwork skills; proven by example
* Good English verbal and written communication skills
* Working knowledge of electrical circuits, both analog and digital
* Working experience with basic electrical laboratory equipment: Oscilloscopes, Source Measure Units, Digital Multimeters, etc.
* Experience using schematic capture and layout tools
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
* Software programing experience, writing and debugging applications
* Understanding of integrated circuit manufacturing processes, including wafer fabrication, assembly, and test
* Able to travel domestically and internationally on an infrequent basis
**Preferred:**
* MS Electrical or Computer Engineering
* Experience with NI LabView
* Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Professional
* Experience with C#, C++, C, Xaml and Python programming
* Experience with Microsoft SQL/T_SQL
* Experience with Visual Basic for Applications
* Experience with Minitab
