Summary of Responsibilities

As the Lead Designer at Ben Quie and Sons, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process from concept to completion and presenting your ideas to the client.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and engineering, to create cohesive and innovative design solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and continuously integrate best practices into the design process.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their vision and translate it into compelling design concepts.
  • Oversee the creation of design documentation, including style guides and design systems, to ensure consistency across all projects.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes to align design initiatives with company goals.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in residential remodeling
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects
  • Proficiency in design software such as Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and/or other relevant tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction processes
  • Deep understanding of the process with projects from beginning to end

Compensation

  • $75,000-$90,000
