Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with strong hands-on CNC machining experience and a solid background in plant-level manufacturing operations . Developing and optimizing machining processes, equipment selection, CNC programming, and overall production readiness. The ideal candidate has spent time on the shop floor, understands modern machining techniques, and is comfortable traveling to support multiple facilities. This is a high-impact role offering visibility across manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement advanced manufacturing techniques, tooling, and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Evaluate and recommend new CNC machinery and related equipment; develop business cases including ROI and investment analysis.
• Lead equipment specification, vendor selection, and oversee installations.
• Monitor CNC machine and process capability using statistical tools and process controls.
• Program, modify, and validate CNC code for lathes and milling machines.
• Design and develop custom machining fixtures (hydraulic/pneumatic).
• Support the integration of CMM inspection systems and interpretation of GD&T standards.
• Troubleshoot issues related to manufacturability, build sequence, or process control.
• Provide training and resources to equipment operators to ensure safe and efficient use.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including equipment records and process guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or product engineering, specifically with CNC machining.
• Experience working in a plant-floor environment .
• Proficiency in CNC programming (e.g., G-code) and CAM tools such as Mastercam.
• Familiarity with machining principles, equipment (lathes, mills), and fixturing techniques.
• Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) .
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or other engineering design tools.
• Familiar with statistical process control methods and capability studies.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (within the company’s regional plant network).
