Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Active Special Education license in Pennsylvania; candidates with an emergency certification will also be considered.
• Previous experience as an Autism Specialist or working with students in self-contained classrooms.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, effective in both classroom and interdisciplinary team settings.
• Ability to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Experience supporting students transitioning between classrooms.

Location: Levittown, PA

Responsibilities:

• Spend half of the day working in a self-contained classroom with eight students, primarily focusing on those with autism and other special needs.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to support and facilitate the integration of students in various classrooms after being pushed-out.
• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans aligned with IEP goals, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation as required by the school.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
