We are seeking experienced Test Engineers with strong coding skills in C#, BASH, BATCH, and Python to join our team supporting production release and operations in the defense and aerospace industry. In this role, you will develop, test, and troubleshoot equipment and systems used in manufacturing, and provide engineering support for resolving production test issues. Employees should expect up to 25% travel. During the initial months, you will primarily focus on testing rack mount server systems.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning and Strategy

Collaborate with design engineers and project managers to define requirements and specifications for complex defense and aerospace systems.
Develop in-depth test plans and strategies to validate system performance, reliability, and compliance with customer and industry standards.
Identify and prioritize core test cases, objectives, and success criteria.

Test Development and Execution

Design and develop test procedures, protocols, and scripts for functional, integration, performance, and stress testing.
Prepare and configure test environments, equipment, and instrumentation to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
Execute tests, analyze results, and document findings and anomalies.
Troubleshoot defects and work closely with development teams to resolve technical issues.

Test Documentation and Reporting

Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and recommendations for improvement.
Ensure organized documentation for future reference and regulatory compliance.
Present test findings, project status, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Test Automation and Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to automate testing procedures and develop automated scripts and frameworks.
Continuously improve methodologies, processes, and tools to increase test coverage and efficiency.
Stay current with advancements in testing technology and industry best practices.

Compliance and Safety

Ensure all testing adheres to safety regulations, industry standards, and quality assurance protocols.
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to meet compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelors degree in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering or related field (Masters preferred)
In-depth understanding of testing methodologies, development, and execution
Experience with C#, BASH, BATCH, Python, and test automation frameworks
Proficient with industry-standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, environmental chambers, etc.)
Familiarity with defense and aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD, DO-178C, DO-254, AS9100)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Previous experience in the defense and aerospace industry is highly desirable

Additional Details:

Up to 25% travel is required.
Initial assignments will include hands-on testing of rack mount server systems and related equipment.
