Our work depends on an Appian Mid-Level Developer joining our team to develop and improve software resources for a critical federal client. The Appian Mid-Level Developer will play a significant role in improving and enhancing the user experience, making them an essential component of a mission that is challenging, important, and rewarding. HOW AN APPIAN MID-LEVEL DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Works with web services, FTP, JMS, and other web integration technologies. Supports user experience, UI design, and/or HCI. Practices agile/scrum methodologies. Works with application servers, web servers, operating systems, and web application architectural concepts. Works with BPM software tools. Supports customer relationship management software and other low-code tools. Supports configuration, deployment, and testing of enterprise software applications and relational databases. Understands relational database design and SQL.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA/BS with concentration in computer science, computer engineering, or technical or related field. Required Experience: 5+ years of experience in an analyst or developer role; 2+ years of this experience must be in successful software delivery or software development using Appian technologies and tools or comparable. Required Technical Skills: Experience with the Appian software platform. Familiarity with web services, FTP, JMS, and other web integration technologies. Background in user experience, UI design, or HCI. Familiarity with software delivery methodologies such as agile/scrum. Working knowledge in application servers, web servers, operating systems, and web application architectural concepts. Prior experience working with BPM software tools. Strong understanding of relational database design and SQL. Required Skills and Abilities: Strong problem solving and design skills. Strong communication and presentation skills. Preferred Skills: Appian Certified Associate Developer or Senior Developer certifications or comparable preferred. Location: Washington, D.C. Visa Sponsorship will not be provided for this position. Timeline: This is for a proposal that is expected to be awarded in May, 2025.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
