**Job Description: Registered Echocardiogram Technician**
**Shift:** Day 4x8-Hour (Tuesday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:30 or 07:30 - 16:00)
**Location:** North Carolina
**Contract Length:** 91 Weeks
**Weekend Shifts:** 1 weekend shift per month required if the team member needs the weekend off.
**Role Overview:**
We are seeking a qualified Registered Echocardiogram Technician to provide exceptional diagnostic care in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role involves performing echocardiograms, carotid doppler studies, and transesophageal echocardiograms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate commitment to high-quality patient care through the execution of diagnostic procedures tailored to all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct echocardiograms, carotid doppler studies, and transesophageal echocardiograms with efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality diagnostic and therapeutic care.
- Deliver patient-specific care while adhering to standard procedures and protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets safety guidelines.
- Float to similar acuity levels as needed, ensuring continuity of care across units.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the ultrasound field.
- ARDMS certification required; CCI RCS preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Registered Ultrasound Tech preferred; NC Respiratory Care Practitioner license preferred.
- Experience with the EPIC charting system is a plus.
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in Adult Acute Care and Outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Color Doppler, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
- Experience with imaging modalities, such as GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, and Toshiba.
**Patient Demographics:**
- Adults and Geriatrics. Daily census involves approximately 8 studies.
**Additional Information:**
- Appropriate scrub attire (solid or design compliant) is expected while at the facility.
- Must be able to provide Age-Specific Care across various patient populations.
